Following substantial changes at the .RO Registry, DomainRegister will be synchronizing all .RO domain names with the Registry's expiration dates on March 1, 2018.
As a result, every .RO domain name registered with us will be individually affected in one of two ways depending on the domain's respective .RO Registry's expiration date:

  • The .RO Registry's expiration date is EARLIER than DomainRegister's system expiration date.
These domain names will be synchronized with the earlier Registry expiration date. Then DomainRegister will extend the registration period for an additional year by paying the registry renewal fee for you, completely free of charge!

  • The .RO Registry's expiration date is EQUAL TO OR LATER than DomainRegister's system expiration date.
These domain names will be synchronized with the future Registry expiration date extending the registration for needed time (days, weeks or months).

The new .RO Registry expiration date policy will also affect how .RO domain names are deleted post expiration as well as their pricing. At expiration, .RO domain names now enter a three (3) month "Pending Delete" period, after which they are deleted at the registry if not renewed. Price changes for .RO domain names will be reported on February 27th, 2018.
