You can edit dotfiles (like .htaccess for example) via cPanel File manager, but they're "hidden" files (that's to say: they're not included in the standard view of File Manager)

To show hidden files in cPanel File Manager:

  • open the File Manager
  • click on "Settings"
  • check the "Show Hidden Files (dotfiles)" option
  • clieck on "Save"

Now you can see, edit and manage also hidden files.
