12/11/2023: .JP Changes about authcode and tech handle

The registry is going to change the generation and handling of authcodes for .JP domain transfers. The following changes will be active as of November 12, 2023:

  • Authcodes will be generated by the registry and cannot be determined or modified from the client side.
  • Authcodes will have an expiration date and will be regenerated every 35 days.
  • After a successfully completed transfer, the tech handle of the .JP domain will be removed and replaced with the admin handle.
